FAST F-SW

Silicate paint for interiors

Usage

Silicate paint FAST F-SW is designed for painting walls and ceilings inside rooms on mineral surfaces such as: cement, cement-lime, gypsum plasters, thin-layer mineral plasters and plaster boards. It is also used for painting raw surfaces made of concrete, as well as bricks, blocks, hollow blocks and other ceramic or lime-sand materials of this type.

Properties

FAST F-SW is a matte dispersion paint based on potassium water glass with high covering power. Due to the chemical reaction with the surface, the paint penetrates into its structure creating a durable and stable coating. It has excellent vapor permeability, thanks to which the painted surfaces retain their mineral properties, enabling the rooms to maintain an appropriate microclimate, i.e. the walls naturally absorb and release moisture from the room. In addition, the paint also has a high resistance to washing and scrubbing. Offered in bright colors in accordance with the FAST COLOR SYSTEM.

Surface preparation

The surface should be dry, stable, strong and free from layers that may weaken paint adhesion, especially dust, dirt, wax and grease. Old, poor-quality paint coats and other layers with poor adhesion to the surface, as well as coats made of dispersion paints should be carefully removed to obtain a clean mineral surface, and minor damages and cracks should be repaired and smoothed. In the case of heterogeneous, weak or flaking surfaces, it is required to prime them with FAST GRUNT S in order to strengthen and even the absorbency of the surface.

The paint can be used on the following surfaces:

  • cement and cement-lime plasters (after a minimum of 28 days from the date of application and humidity not higher than 4%)
  • concrete (after more than 28 days from execution and the humidity not higher than 4%),
  • gypsum (humidity below 1%)

Preparation and usage method

FAST FS paint is supplied in a ready-to-use form. After opening, the contents must be mixed in order to even out the consistence. It is permissible to thin the paint for the first painting with max. 3% water (in volume proportion). When applying the second coat, the paint should be used unthind. The adopted dilution ratio should be kept on the entire painted surface. A thin, even layer of FAST F-SW paint should be applied to the prepared and primed surface. Apply twice with a roller, brush or airless spray. The average drying time of the paint is from 2 to 4 hours and depends on the type of surface, temperature and relative air humidity. The ambient temperature during the works and during drying should be between +8°C and +25°C. The general technique of painting with wall paints should be followed.

Parameters of airless spray based on the WAGNER - ProSpray 3.23 device

  • nozzle diameter 519-521
  • pressure 190-220
  • bar mesh filter 50
  • thinning max. up to 3% with the first layer

CAUTION

The paint coating acquires its full functional properties (scrub resistance/washability) after complete hardening, i.e. after 28 days from the end of painting.

Additional application guidelines:

» Before application, check that the color is as ordered. Any complaints regarding the color will not be considered after the application of the product.

» In order to avoid differences in shades on one architectural surface, works should be carried out without interruptions, using packages with paint of the same production batch, previously mixed with each other in a large caste.

» The content of potassium water glass in the paint requires protection against operation of all elements sensitive to high alkalinity, such as: glass, PVC, metal, clinker and wood.

USE

Depending on the type of substrate, FAST F-SW consumption is from 0.1 to 0.2 l / m².
