Silicate paint FAST F-S is designed for painting mineral surfaces such as: cement, cement-lime plasters and thin-layer mineral plasters. It is also used for painting raw surfaces made of concrete, as well as bricks, blocks, hollow blocks and other ceramic or lime-sand materials of this type.
FAST F-S is a well-covering, matt paint based on potassium water glass. It has excellent vapor permeability, it is hydrophobized and resistant to UV radiation and pollution. It can only be used outside the building. The paint chemically reacts with the surface, penetrating its structure. Color selection according to FAST COLOR SYSTEM. The surface should be dry, stable, strong and free from layers that may weaken paint adhesion, especially dust, dirt, wax and grease. Old, poor-quality paint coats and other layers with poor adhesion to the surface, as well as coats made of dispersion paints should be carefully removed to obtain a clean mineral surface, and minor damage and cracks should be repaired and smoothed. Each surface must be primed with a silicate preparation FAST GRUNT S in order to strengthen and even the absorbency of the surface.
The paint can be used on the following surfaces:
CAUTION
In the case of using paints with very intense colors, due to their reduced coverage ability, the use of FAST GRUNT F base paint is required in a shade similar to the color of the paint prior to the painting.
FAST F-S paint is supplied in a ready-to-use form. After opening, the contents must be mixed in order to even out the consistency. A thin, even layer of FAST F-S paint should be applied to the prepared and primed surface. Apply twice with a roller or brush. The paint can be thinned, especially when work is carried out at temperatures close to the maximum allowable (+ 25 ° C). Use FAST GRUNT S primer to dilute in the amount of max. 2% (by volume). The assumed dilution ratio should be kept on the entire painted surface. Use undiluted paint for final painting.
When applying and drying the paint, observe the appropriate weather conditions, i.e. surface and ambient temperature from +8°C to +25°C, no strong sunlight, no rain or too high relative air humidity above 75%. The drying time of one coat of paint, depending on the surface, temperature and relative air humidity, is from about 2 to 6 hours. The paint coating acquires its full functional properties after complete hardening, i.e. after 28 days from the end of painting works.
